EveryWarrior's Hurricane Ida Response

Aug 30, 2021
One thing we like doing is supporting the needs around us, however, what we absolutely LOVE is supporting our Warriors who take the initiative to support the needs around THEM! Check out what Ed Blanco (a Warrior serving at Barksdale from south Louisiana and who has family directly impacted) has to say about Hurricane Ida relief efforts:

"This one is personal to me!!! Hurricane Ida unfortunately ripped through southern Louisiana and left many of my friends and family without power and clean water. To see your family and friends in the same position from exactly 16 years ago is pure heartbreak! I am asking for your help to donate whatever you can. A team of Airmen from Barksdale Air Force base will be gathering supplies needed and safely transporting down south soon! Please share, tag someone and send a prayer for my city!"

As an organization, and in partnership with another Warrior, our friend Duffy Freese, we at EveryWarrior are fully supporting this effort. All donations will be taken to the New Orleans and surrounding area in the near future.

Here is how you can get involved:

Over the next two weeks, we are collecting the following (donations not limited to this list):
+ Non perishable food items
+ Batteries
+ Baby food & formula
+ Diapers & wipes
+ Personal hygiene products
+ Paper goods
+ Tarps
+ Pillows
+ Gloves
+ Gas cans
+ Bug spray
+ Pet food

You can drop off at our Warrior's Family Center, 4000 Viking Drive Bossier City, La 71111. Place donations in the Air Force Utility Trailer parked in the parking lot.

There is a Hurricane Relief fund set up through our secure online giving at everywarrior.org/give. 100% of donations will go to help purchase relief supplies and offset costs of Ed and his team of Warriors as they selflessly give back. Click the Give Now link to give.

This effort is led strictly by these two Warriors...completely independent of the Air Force and DOD and above and beyond their call of duty and commitment to service. You are helping their desire to make a difference come alive!
