Can't We All Just Get Along pt 1 - The Screamer

We know this person all too well. Usually, they can be found safe and secure in the extreme end of the spectrum. No, this person isn't an extremist so to speak, but you're surely not going to change his or her mind. Why? Because you're probably not going to get a word in when you're standing face-to-face with them. The second they are faced with someone who differs, their voice works to overpower them.

They aren't necessarily trying to be a jerk, yet they come across like that all the time. You will usually find them so passionate that they can't help but become filled with their righteous anger. Why is this? Because they really do believe what they believe and they are willing to die on that hill. This is not a bad thing. It's great to be passionate about what you believe in. How it becomes a contributing factor to division though is this: "It's my way and everyone else is wrong."

Today, if this is you. Let me encourage you...USE YOUR VOICE. But, know this, your voice doesn't silence other voices. And your belief does not mean that you can not live at peace with people around you who are different.

So, maybe a little less loudness mixed with a little more compassion will help you and me both thrive in a divided world, and, who knows, we may just set the example.
