October Recap

Nov 3, 2021
It was a crazy wild October! Here are some of the highlights:

- Help and Support was a major theme of the month. In fact, $8,803.32 was given in support of our Warriors and their families, touching over 3,000 individuals.

- The Warrior's Family Center hosted 31 different events, including retirements, meetings, parties, showers, etc.

- We saw a phenomenal start to our Get Toasty fundraiser with over $1,300 given. You can give to this our Christmas fundraiser throughout November at everywarrior.org/gettoasty.

- We secured our official partnership with HireMilitary, which will allow us to further help Warriors and spouses with jobs!

- Speaking of jobs, we're investing even further in this area through the creation of what we're calling The Workspace at the Warrior's Family Center. This cohab work environment (launching November/December 2021) will be where you can come get work done in the peaceful and quiet, relaxing and laid back environment that is the Warrior's Family Center. We're starting off making this available for you each Wednesday.

- Speaking of partnership (and this is the first time we’re talking about this publicly), we’re in the process of creating one with To Write Love on Her Arms. TWLOHA is a nonprofit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. Beginning with resources like their Find Help tool, this partnership will provide greater access to mental health support for Warriors wherever they may be around the country...and that is just the beginning.

- Thanks to the generosity of Dale's Paving, we have began the process of updating our phones in order to better serve you.

- We were able to support TWO organizations right here at home at Barksdale with their Halloween events.

- Our TruthBeToldTV series, Hotseat, included three episodes in which some of our Lead Team took on any and all questions from our Warriors.

- WarriorFest registration opened up and is going strong! Volunteers can also sign up now as well. Check out everywarrior.org/warriorfest to register and everywarrior.org/dsn to volunteer.

- Speaking of volunteering, we have completely overhauled all things concerning volunteering in and through EveryWarrior and we are stoked to announce the BRAND NEW Do Something Now! Check it out at everywarrior.org/dsn to get involved and learn how you can influence the world around you.

- Speaking of WarriorFest, and partnership, we're throwing support behind an already up and coming resource for our Warriors at Keesler AFB in Biloxi. Like we do at all of our events, through our EveryWarrior Gives Back initiative, attendees will have an opportunity to help us start strong by providing specific items needed for their Food/Goods Pantry.

- And on another note on volunteering, you have the opportunity to track your volunteer efforts as well as stay engaged with everything we do in the volunteer world, plus find service opportunities wherever you may be in the country, all thanks to our friend Annalisa Giddens with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Ally Real Estate.

- Our new Fall lineup of gear hit our online store in the last week of October, and that led to the single best week our store has ever seen. Thank you for that!

- Oh, and last but not least, we have something in the works that we're simply calling The Network. We will begin "beta-testing" it soon...which you will be able to jump in on from the beginning. Standby for more on this in the next couple weeks.
