2023 DEFENDERS OF LIBERTY AIR SHOW
HELP US SERVE + HELP US INSPIRE
We're preparing for something new and exciting! As you may know, Barksdale Air Force Base is hosting the 2023 Defenders of Liberty Air Show on Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25. This year, we are supporting the Warriors that will be serving at this event, as well as the Barksdale community as a whole, and we want to extend the invitation for you and your team to be a part of this effort.
We are currently asking you to be a financial sponsor for these collective efforts this year as we make a very intentional focus to both meet a very specific need and show some much needed support and appreciation to those who will be making the Saturday and Sunday Air Show possible. Because of this, we are seeking a donation from your organization. You can find our sponsorship levels and benefits on the following page. Should you choose to partner with us, please feel free to let us know by using the contact information below.
Thank you for your consideration. We hope that you can partner with us in this effort to serve, support, and appreciate our men, women, and families serving in our military.
- On Saturday and Sunday of the Air Show, we have the honor of once again providing a fresh sack lunch for over 500 Airmen who will be working at the event. These Warriors will be the ones ensuring the event is secure and safe. The lunch we provide will be delivered to them while they are on post, ensuring that they get the nutrition needed for the long day while also giving them an encouraging personal touch from members of our community. We will provide these meals both days of the Show, meaning that over 1000 meals will be given out that weekend.
- On Friday evening, March 24, we have the unique opportunity to inspire and celebrate even more Warriors by providing the first ever professional fireworks show on base at Barksdale. Closing out the final practice before the Saturday and Sunday shows, this fireworks show will be viewed by anyone who has access to the installation. Historically, this Friday evening practice draws thousands of Warriors and family members who will be working the Saturday and Sunday shows. Without this time, many families would not get to experience the Air Show with their Warrior. With the addition of this massive, professional fireworks show, our goal is to help attract more service members and military families, as well as more veterans and retirees from around the Ark-La-Tex region. Anyone with base access is welcome to attend, and while Friday night is not open to the general public, civilians would be able to see the show from many areas around the installation.
