PRESENTED BY

the story

This whole thing we call our Every Warrior Family was born out on a Thanksgiving dinner that happened back in 2014 when we took over an old abandoned boat store in south Bossier with a couple hundred Warriors and some good ole home cooked turkey and dressing! That night, after it was all said and done, a few of us were sitting around and the question was raised…”What would it look like if we did this all the time?!”

Fast forward to today…we’ve seen six Feasts come and go (and a couple tailgate parties where we lit up the sky with fireworks the past two years) and we are STOKED to see the return of what has simply come to be known as “The Feast!”

FOR THE
LIL WARRIORS!

This year, we've partnered with with Surfari Pals (another local non-profit) to provide something special for your kiddos.

Surfari Pals is bringing Camp Surfari to the Feast.  This day-camp style program is an ocean-themed, fun-filled way to teach elementary-age children things like manners, social etiquette, life skills, and respect.

Led by Kip and Jennifer Cummings, and staffed with background-checked volunteers, Camp Surfari will take place upstairs during the Feast beginning at 5:30pm.

SCHOOL-AGE

  • You can decide whether to have your school-age kids join you in the main hall for the Feast  or have them participate in Camp Surfari.
  • We will provide snacks for kids participating in Camp Surfari.
  • We will provide kid-sized meals for school age kids joining parents in the Main Hall.

BIRTH-PRESCHOOL

  • Preschool-age kiddos will remain in the Main Hall for the event.
  • Feel free to bring any seating you feel necessary for any babies/toddlers.
  • We will have a lil Warrior's Kids Korner available in the Main Hall should your preschool kiddos need to burn some energy!

Every Warrior Gives Back

#EWGIVESBACK

Each year, we give you, our Warriors, families, and volunteers, the opportunity to give back...and this year is no different.

At the Feast, we will be collecting two things:
  1. Cold weather gear for residents at the Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home. New or lightly used blankets, gloves, hats, beanies, and socks are all items that you can bring with you to donate.
  2. Toys and gift cards for kids/teens in our area living in foster care. These items will be given out this Christmas through our partner organization, Geaux4Kids.

Do you have to participate to attend? Absolutely not. This is totally optional.

The Feast Experience Team

VOLUNTEER WITH US

COMMUNITY MEMBERS, RETIREES, VETERANS:
We need you to be one of 150 volunteers that help make the Feast happen. If you have a heart for our Warriors and a smiling face, then you have what it takes to help create the experience. Check out the five opportunities we have and click the link below to join the team.

GREET TEAM

Our greeters are stationed strategically throughout the Convention Center, helping guide attendees from the parking garage to check-in. You will be on your feet the entire time, but should you need to sit for health/age-related issues, we can accommodate.
TIME NEEDED:
4:00pm-6:00pm

parking TEAM

Our parking attendants are the first faces our attendees see, and you set the tone as you provide a welcoming and informative presence in the parking garage. You will be on your feet the entire time.
TIME NEEDED:
4:00pm-6:00pm

server TEAM

Our servers make sure that our attendees do not have to get up from their table once they are seated, unless they just want to. While the Convention Center staff serves the meal, servers ensure their tables are taken care of. You will be on your feet most of the evening.
TIME NEEDED:
4:00pm-8:00pm

check-in TEAM

Our check-in team ensures that everyone who attends gets checked in quickly and securely upon arrival.
You will also help with the check-in process for the rest of our volunteer team. Check-in attendants will be seated for most of the evening.
TIME NEEDED:
3:30pm-6:00pm

setup/cleanup TEAM

It takes an army (pun intended) to help create the environment. While we outsource production and the Convention Center sets up the tables and chairs, this team helps with everything else...like decorations (we go all out), signage, games, etc.  prior to the event and general cleanup of the room at the conclusion. You will be on their feet most of the time. Setup/Cleanup team members can serve on other teams.
TIME NEEDED:
Setup: 8am-Noon Saturday, Nov 19

Cleanup: 7:30pm-9:30pm Sunday, Nov 20
EVENT DRESS CODE:
Black Shirt (no t-shirts) with Jeans/Khakis
(Excluding Setup/Cleanup)

VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION:
  • We will have a mandatory  volunteer orientation on Sunday, Nov 20 at 4:00pm prior to the event. Teams will meet individually following the full team meeting.
  • Volunteers will receive any necessary information/details from their team leads prior to the event.
