Our Response to COVID

Hey Warriors, friends, and our entire Every Warrior Family!

I’m going to get straight to the point. It seems as if we can not catch a break. I know this is a shared feeling among many of you, us included. We’re tired. We’re frustrated. We’re concerned. We may even be outraged. The first thing I want you to know is this: All emotions you may be feeling are 100% valid. Do not dismiss your emotions. Own them, and from there, let’s protect ourselves and each other from allowing them to own more of us than they rightfully should.

With that in mind, here are a three simple things you need to know from us:

1. WE’RE HERE. While our Family Center will follow both state and 2nd Bomb Wing guidelines for military, we as an organization, and all of our resources, are here and ready should you need anything. Whatever need you may have, be it physical, relational, emotional, mental, or spiritual, trust us, that is a need that we will work to meet. Wherever you are in this world, we stand ready to help. Should you, your family, your work center, your unit, or your installation have a need, you can let us know about it at everywarrior.org/findsupport.

2. WE CAN ALL DO SOMETHING. Yes, even in the midst of restrictions, we can influence the world around us. How? First and foremost, by taking care of each other. If someone asks you how you’re doing, be honest. If you ask someone how they are doing, seek to really find out. Don’t settle for the typical “I’m fine.” In the same breath, seek to understand, especially when you engage in a conversation with folks who may be different from you. Our interpersonal relationships and how we engage with each other through this is going to be what pulls us all through.

We are going to be giving you practical ways to take this further throughout the duration of the current crisis. Follow our socials, get the App (everywarrior.org/app) and stay engaged with us. Together, all of us doing something can overwhelm the negativity that unfortunately is spreading like wildfire right now. Grassroots efforts, combined with some old fashioned care, will take us further than we can imagine as we navigate the next few weeks/months.

3. YOU CAN HELP US DO SOMETHING. We have a simple rule…we don’t ask our military members to give financially. With that in mind, our extended EW Family and Friends can have a huge impact on a Warrior’s life through giving. You can give now toward our WarriorCare fund at everywarrior.org/give. 100% of your donations will go directly to any care needs we have as we support our Warriors through these current, unexpected, and uncertain times, from a single service member who needs counseling to a whole unit that we can provide some food for that tells them that there is a whole community around them supporting them.

As always, we remain vigilant in our approach to how we serve and support every one of you, especially in the face of the unknown. When the need arises and you need help, let us know. When the need arises and you can help meet it, meet it with everything inside of you.
