Through sharing my story
over the past few years over
and over and over again,
I’ve found strength that I
didn't know I had and
I've found healing that I
didn't know was possible.

-Natalie Cagle

Ever heard someone talking about their life and thought "Oh, someone else has been through that, too? I thought it was just me!"

As unique as our very own fingerprints, our personal experiences, both good and bad, can literally save lives. Every time the truth of someone's story is told, it has the opportunity to meet someone else right in the middle of their crisis!
Here, you'll find two things:

1. A growing library of stories from Warriors from every walk of life you can imagine.
2. The opportunity for you to share your own story with us.

So look around, browse, read, take it all in, and as you do, consider letting the truth of your story be told.

TELL YOUR STORY

Want to tell your story?
Well we want to hear it.

Fill out this form and answer the questions as thoroughly as possible. Once submitted, we will get in touch with you.

A FEW FACTS
ABOUT OUR STORIES

Knowing our stories helps us:
  • Practice gratitude.
  • See how far we've come.
  • Make peace with the past.
  • Grow from our mistakes.
  • Process and heal from trauma.
  • Prove that healing is possible.
  • Protect ourselves from habitually repeating mistakes.
  • Learn and keep healthy coping skills.
  • Help others who are going through something similar.
  • Help others who do not believe there is hope.

If you're asking yourself something like this..."What will people think if they know this about me", KNOW THIS: When you chose to be vulnerable with personal things like mistakes or hurts, you are OWNING these experiences.

While we know that there are always personal things that need to remain private, there are also things that, when spoken, relate to others who are going through similar circumstances. When you own your experiences, nobody can discredit them, because they are YOURS.

A FEW TIPS
TO KEEP IN MIND

▸ This is YOUR story.  Own it!

▸ These are YOUR experiences.  Own it!

▸ This is from YOUR perspective.  Own it!

▸ Be honest, be real.  Authenticity is always best.

▸ Emotion is okay.  We expect our stories to have hurts.

▸ There is no right or wrong way to write your story.

▸ There is no right or wrong length. Use the words necessary, it can be short and sweet, or it can be longer. You're not writing a book, but give yourself space to make the point.

▸ Important things you can include in your story are:
  • Contextual info: Who are you and where are you from?
  • What was life like growing up?
  • What are some things that happened that were tough to navigate?
  • How did those things impact your life?
  • What lesson(s) did you learn?
  • How has life changed?
  • Who helped you along the way?
  • What do you want others to learn from your experiences?
  • What is your hope for the future?

Writing your story in this way helps you as you share your story out there in your everyday life, because the ultimate WIN is that moment you're sitting across from someone who is struggling and you're able to relate to them because of your personal experiences.

A FEW QUESTIONS
WE'VE BEEN ASKED

▸ WILL EVERYWARRIOR SHARE MY STORY PUBLICLY?
Only if you give us permission. We will discuss that privately once you have submitted your story.

▸ WILL MY STORY BE VIDEOED?
Not initially. If stories are shared, they will be in written form. Should we wish to video your story, we will discuss that privately.

▸ WHAT IF I WANT TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS?
That is fine. We respect that completely.

▸ IS THIS CONFIDENTIAL?
Absolutely. The only way we will share your story is with your written permission, which we will discuss with you after you submit your story. If you don't want us to share it, then it stays between you and our senior leadership.

▸ WHY SHOULD I SHARE MY STORY WITH YOU GUYS IF I DON'T WANT IT SHARED PUBLICLY?
  • Because you can learn a lot about yourself by looking back and seeing how you've grown.
  • Because you may find ways you can use your story in your own everyday life.
  • Because we want to celebrate with you!
  • Because we want to help you if you're struggling through something at the moment!
  • Because we care about YOU!

Let the truth be told.
