Meet Chas Sells

Meet Chas Sells. This is the walking example of what it looks like to love your people well. Throughout the time we have known her, she has been a staunch advocate for those in her care. A career Comm troop in the Air Force, she served at two different installations as a First Sergeant. She had first hand experience with dealing with the toughest of situations, and her constant compassion is what truly made her an effective leader to the squadrons she served, and now as a Chief in her career field.

One of her former Warriors said this about her: "When I felt like my world had crashed down on me she was right there, she wasn’t even assigned to our squadron anymore, but she was right there."

No, boundaries that would normally keep people apart were boundaries that she never hesitated crossing if it means that one of her Warriors got the care he or she deserved. A wife, mom, leader, advocate, and friend to many are all titles that she values. The fact that you knew you were going to get genuine care from her is what makes her AWESOME. And you only got that genuine care from her because, guess what, she is one of the ones who genuinely cares. It's as simple as that. Like many of the First Sergeants we know, in the times when life slaps people in the face (her included), she excels...not in performance only, but rather in authenticity.
