Can't We All Just Get Along pt 3 - The Warrior

We don't have to look far to find this fella, and no, he or she is not the military Warrior we seek to serve, even though he or she can occupy the uniform. The Warrior we're talking about here is the one who wields the keyboard as the weapon of choice and who finds their battlefield to be the vast expanse of any and all social media platforms. Usually, they can be found deep in the comments section of a post they disagree with, and they are fighting to the death. They are dropping their evidence and dismissing anything that may come against it...and their dismissing is wrapped in insults.

They aren't necessarily trying to be rude and relentless, yet they come across like that all the time. Like the screamer, they are going to let you know how they feel. Even more so though because now they have a spot to inject their side, especially when they haven't been invited. Why is this? Because, they too, really do believe what they believe but they have reserved their voice to be a response and defense of what they are about. When, in reality, their voice is being used subpar, at best.

Today, if this is you. Let me encourage you...USE YOUR KEYBOARD. Advocate FOR what you are for instead of what you are against. Stand up, and use the power of social media. Let that thing that you love be at the forefront, not the response. Start the conversation. And when you're faced with someone who isn't of the same mindset, move on past. When you are actively fighting FOR something, it leaves little time to fight AGAINST something.

So, maybe a little less typing in the comments mixed with a little more advocating for that thing we are passionate about will help you and me both thrive in a divided world, and, who knows, we may just set the example.
