Inherent - Pt 6 // AUTHENTICITY

Aug 4, 2021

I believe one of the reasons people believe that they have no other choice than to end their life is because they believe the LIE that they have nobody that they can be their 100% real and authentic self with.

What does it mean to be genuine and/or authentic? How would you define that? What does that type of person look like? List out some of the qualities.

Honest?
Real?
Confident?

Maybe you came up with something else. The picture of this type of person may look different for all of us, BUT one thing is for sure, someone who is genuine is simply true to who they are. They don't fake it. They don't try to make themselves something they are not. They don't wear the mask. They don't try to make themselves what everyone around them thinks they should be. They are true to who they were made to be.

In life, especially in the context of relationships, being honest about who and where we are is the key to authenticity. When you and me both learn the value of owning our reality, whatever that may look like, it makes us someone that can be trusted, someone who is open and honest, and someone who others can lean on...and that will happen without you even trying to be that. It's just part of operating in your purpose, which is synonymous with being truly authentic.
